Storm Damage Inspections / Unwanted Birds
Published: April 12, 2023
Several buildings within the Windhaven Crossing Townhome Community have experienced damage from the March 2, 2023 storm. Interior inspections of homes with damage will commence Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 9:30a.m. Please ensure homeowner of record or another adult residing in the home is available to allow access and identify areas of concern. Interior inspections will take place only on homes that are reporting interior damages believed to be caused by the March 2nd storm. Only Homeowners that reported interior damages will be scheduled for interior inspection on Tuesday, April 18th.
Additionally, there have been reports of vultures in and around the community. Animal Control has been contacted and advised that vultures are protected birds and Animal Control would not attempt to capture or move these birds. If you are having trouble with these birds, there are some harmless deterrents you can try, however, please be advised, do not harm these birds in any way. Some helpful harmless deterrents are: (1) keep all food and trash off balconies and open areas in and around your townhome unit, (2) use blowhorns or other short bursts of loud noises to chase them away. Be mindful of the noise ordinance and your neighbors, (3) use a water gun or spray bottle to spray the birds (use only water) or (4) hang decoy of owl or hawk. Any Homeowner seen harming these birds will be reported to Animal Control.
